We would therefore expect that most time will be spent meeting with the partners usually on a one to one basis with regular meetings with the Steering Group and Marketing Group.
Art in Yorkshire – supported by Tate is a Yorkshire region- wide programme of visual art exhibitions and events involving museums and galleries throughout Yorkshire which will take place in 2011. Art in Yorkshire – supported by Tate will highlight the strength of the visual arts collections in Yorkshire and is supported by Tate.
The main purpose of the Managing Curator is to develop the programme of exhibitions and events for Art in Yorkshire – supported by Tate in close liaison with all the partners. The spirit of Art in Yorkshire – supported by Tate is that, together, we can raise the impact and awareness of the visual arts across the region. The activities will become more than the sum of their parts, sharing resources and reaching new audiences through a strategic marketing campaign based on the strong brands of both Yorkshire and Tate.
Qualification Level: Substantial and demonstrable experience in exhibition organisation, previous curatorial role in a museum or gallery, project management experience, good working knowledge of contemporary and modern art.
